Jaipuria Group celebrates Teachers’ Day at 2nd Townhall ‘Rendezvous’
Entertaining performances and inspiring speeches marked the celebration of Teachers’ Day at the 2nd Townhall of Seth Anandram Jaipuria Group of Educational Institutions.
Titled ‘Rendezvous’, the town hall was held virtually and attended by the teachers, staff, and corporate leadership team of the Jaipuria Group on the eve of Teachers’ Day on September 4, Saturday. The 2-hour cultural extravaganza began with a prayer by the Director, Dean, and teachers of Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad. The prayer invoked the glory of Lord Ram and set the tone for the follow-up performance, a re-enactment of Lord Shiva’s tandava dance by the teachers and staff of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Kanpur.
On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, the Jaipuria Group felicitated Madhavi Goswami, the deputy headmistress of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Ghaziabad, who recently won the CBSE National Award for Teachers, 2021, for her excellence in teaching and school leadership. The school also presented long-service awards to as many as 18 teachers and staff members for their commitment to the institution. The Kanpur school gave the long-service award to 3 teachers.
Shishir Jaipuria, Chairman of Seth Anandram Jaipuria Group of Educational Institutions, expressed gratitude towards teachers in his address at the town hall.
He said, “I take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for rising to the occasion during the pandemic. The role of the teachers in today’s context, when India is aspiring to become the third-largest superpower, has become even more demanding. Teachers have to nurture the talent of each and every child and build an environment so that they are able to harness their potential. In today’s time, a teacher has to be extremely passionate, focus on each child, learn to operate in a hyper-personalized environment, and be truly immersed in technology.”
The celebration also saw an address by Saket Jaipuria, Vice-Chairperson, who spoke about technological disruption and how it is impacting the world today. He highlighted the potential for exponential growth with the penetration of technology in the education sector.
Energetic performances continued to wow the attendees throughout the town hall. Little One – The Jaipuria Preschool, Kakadeo, presented an act honouring the mothers for their selfless love towards children. The teachers of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Ghaziabad, put up a sterling performance to inspire teachers and students alike. If the celebration needed a touch of humour, that was pumped in ample supply by the light-hearted and funny act of the teachers of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow.
The town hall ended with a wise and insightful address by the Jaipuria Group’s senior advisor, Vinod Malhotra, who stressed on the importance of looking within and changing oneself for the better.
