Programme Structure

The PGDM course that we are providing is as per the Industries, i.e. FICCI, CII, SMEPS etc. All should know that we are tagged with Harvard Business School, European Business School & AVTEG.

Our method of teaching is based on analytical and strategic competence and ethical and moral business practices. The Philosophy being “if you let me experience I will learn”. The outcome of such would lead to :

  • The competitiveness of the students will bring in their eagerness to excel with the others.

Programme of the course as per the present need of the Industry which will be reviewed year to year basis after interaction with CII & FICCI. : The two year PGDM programme prepares the student for a career in Industry and Services.

The courses are designed to develop –(i) the analytical, problem solving and decision making abilities, (ii) the awareness of the socio-economic environment, and (iii) the personality with socially desirable values and attitudes. Towards these objectives and to suit the contents of each course, a variety of teaching methodologies, such as case studies, role-play, problem solving exercises, group discussion, computer simulation games, audio-visuals, are used in the programme.

The programme requirement include the total number of credits, for the core courses are 90 (ninety). The Term-wise distribution of courses in the first year shall be 24-24-24. The remaining six core courses shall be scheduled in the second year. During the second year, in addition to the six core courses, a student is required to do 8 (eight) elective courses. The total work load for a student in any term should not exceed 8 courses (24 credits). A Summer Project and compulsory participation in Team Building and Village Exposure Programmes:

Summer Project – a Credit Course

Summer project is a compulsory Credit Course. A student is required to do a summer project on any aspect of Business Management in the industry for six to eight weeks at the end of the first year (April – June).

Team Building and Village Exposure Programmes –a Non-credit Programme

A three-day team building programme is compulsory for the students. The objective of the programme is to develop leadership and team work through adventure activities (The programme includes overnight camping in tents). A Village exposure programme is also mandatory for the students. The students are expected to stay in villages. They are expected to study some of the practices and issues relating to rural India.
