31st of October is celebrated as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas by the people all through India. It is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who contributed in unifying the country. Rashtriya Ekta Diwas or National Unity Day was introduced by the Government of India in 2014 with the aim of celebrating this event every year on 31st October. The aim of introducing this event was to pay tribute to the great man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, on his birth anniversary by remembering his extraordinary works for the country.
On this day, the students and the members of the faculty at JSB took a pledge to always stand united as a nation irrespective of region, religion, culture, language, political affiliation, or race. The Cultural Club organised a diversity walk, too, to bring forth the fact that no matter how diverse we are but still we stand united as a nation. The activity very conspicuously showcased unity in diversity, which in itself is beauty of India.
