In his address Mr. Kumar emphasised upon the need to “Set your goals and work towards achieving them”. He also spoke at length about WHAT RECRUITERS LOOK FOR IN A CANDIDATE?

  • To impress the interview panel you get 20-25 mins. Rigorous preparation is therefore necessary.
  • Anticipate questions that can be thrown at you


  • Candidate should be presentable – dressing, entry, walking, seating
  • Come fresh and look fresh
  • Communication ability- whether candidate is able to put through his/her point. Convey your thoughts in limited words
  • Practise Positive Communication
  • Be honest to admit ignorance
  • Keenness to learn
  • Adaptability
  • Time Management – Time could be worst enemy or best friend.
  • Prepare to-do list
  • Get your data right- fortify your answers with correct facts & data
  • Exhibit “Can Do Attitude”
  • Hone your skills
  • Domain knowledge should be superlative – visible confidence and clarity
  • Rigorous knowledge on SIP & projects undertaken during the course
  • How tech-savvy you are? Take courses on Advanced Excel & SPSS for data analysis
  • Pursue extra-curricular activities because not only they sharpen your managerial skills they also make you come up with innovative solutions
