THE 6TH MARKETING HAAT- 2018
“Mercato” – The Marketing Haat, as it is more popularly known, is an innovative tool for conducting market research and consumer behavior pioneered by Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. The fair is organized, supervised and conducted successfully 6th time by the Marketing Club of Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad on 3rd November 2018, Saturday. As compared to last year, this year the event was bigger and better.
The event began with a Tribute to Lord Ganesha where students performed on Ganesh Vandana. After the Ganesh Vandana the dignitaries stepped on the stage, we had among us our Chief Guest Mr. Hemant Agarwal, CMD, V Bazaar Retail Pvt Ltd, our Guests of Honor Mr. R.P Singh, Director- HR and Legal, IFFCO, Mr. Sachin Sharma- Head- Talent Acquisition Group, Lava International Ltd, Chairman, Jaipuria Group of Educational Institutions, Shri Shishir Jaipuria, Ms Manju Rana, Principal, Seth Anand Ram Jaipuria School, Ghaziabad, Mr. Vinod Malhotra, Dr. S K Mahaptra, Director, Jaipuria School of Business and Prof. (Dr.) Daviender Narang, Director, Jaipuria Institute of Management.
The inaugural session began with the lamp lighting ceremony and the address by the dignitaries where they told the importance of holding a practical experience in marketing and retail. They also congratulated the management for putting up such a successful event. After the address by the dignitaries and the felicitation ceremony, the director gave a vote of thanks, thanking all the delegates for sparing their time. The freedom ceremony marked the end of the Inaugural session and the simultaneous opening of the event. The Freedom Ceremony witnessed the Balloon and Pigeon flying. Bright and white pigeons flew up in the sky marking the commencement of Mercato 2018.
The event then moved to witness the Band Performance by the Jaipurians and the performance of the Bhangra Troop. As the event progressed, multiple performances were witnessed, singing, dancing, nukkad natak, Colors of India, Mime dance, AD MAD Show and many more. The main attractions of the event were the Baby Show and Drawing Competition where little kids showcased the immense talent possessed by them. The event progressed with the Live Band performances by the well-known college bands like The Brahmastra, Vidyutt, Mausiq and Moksha. With the sunset the audiences saw the Fashion show showcasing Pop Theme, Dark Theme, Casual Theme and Bridal Theme. The fashion show posed to be the Cherry on the Cake. The event’s major attraction was the Celebrity Performance by Fazilpuria who with his troop took the program to the next level.
Mercato 2018 consisted of various stalls starting from food and Beverages to Accessories and Diwali Items. Around three thousand individuals from Indirapuram and Delhi NCR marked the event with their presence.

It was indeed the largest and the most successful event setup by student body in this region.
