The paper presentation was followed by cultural performances on the theme of sustainability. Further, the students were informed about the immediate need for action to create a sustainable society during the panel discussion that included many eminent panellists and SDG advocates including the Principal, Ms Poonam Kochitty.
The event was concluded with the Award ceremony wherein Saumitra Saran from Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow won the first prize for his presentation on ‘Life Under Water’.
The Yuva Manch project has provided an enriching and exciting opportunity for all as young students reflected on issues of global significance, their responsibility towards a sustainable future and their role as citizens of the world. The discussions on equality, discrimination, inclusion, and solutions to combat climate action would certainly have a lasting impact as every responsible action is preceded by an informed thought and deliberation.
