Vigyantram – Humanoid Robot

Vigyantram, by the students of IIT Mumbai, is one of the greatest exposures for any student. Vigyantram conducts workshops for students on a specific topic given by the school.
Vigyantram was conducted on 18th and 19th August, 2019, for the students of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow. 41 students participated in the workshop. The topic for the workshop was Humanoid Robot a STEM based learning platform. We learnt about the basics of Robotics and their laws.
We were fascinated with robots because they are reflections of ourselves.
On day one, we learned the basics, especially the theoretical aspect of Robotics. Then we moved to the assembling. Here we learnt about working of motors and using different types of circuits. The day concluded by assembling the robots.
Day two was a new fresh working day related to programming the robot. We learned to program the robot using Arduino IDE. We programmed our robots then tested them. In the final hours of the workshop, we were given a written test to assess how much we had grasped. The top ten winners will get a chance to go to IIT Bombay in techfest 2020 (Asia’s largest techfest). We hope we will be amongst the top ten finalists.
