Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow, organized their first ever Star Student Awards on 11th April to acknowledge and award student achievements in several categories for the Academic Session 2018-19. Mr. Saud Usmani, Regional HR Head, Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd., graced the occasion with his presence and felicitated the winners. The Award Ceremony kicked off to a jam packed Hall of happy parents savoring and applauding every moment.
Mrs. Poonam Kochitty, Principal, welcomed everyone and spoke about the awards and referred to our school being a school of inclusivity and diversity, one which promotes a truly broad and balanced education which helps each student to fulfill their potential. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and paying obeisance to the Almighty. The prayer was followed by an enchanting dance performance on the song ‘Aayo re shubh din aayo re’ by the girls of classes VII, VIII, IX and X.
The awards were given in various categories- Academic Excellence, Arts, Music, Film Making, Dance, Handwriting, Confident Speaker, Best Buddy, Exemplary Behaviour, Best Speller and Olympiads , to name a few.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Saud Usmani, Chief Guest, highlighted the importance of awards and recognition in our lives.He congratulated the winners and encouraged more students to be on stage next year.He also applauded the devoted work done by the teachers in maintaining excellent academic & co-curricular standards in the school. He urged the parents to teach their children to be thankful and to be humble. He also added that giving back to the society was an important trait that every child should be taught. He concluded that if children could give back to people who do not have the opportunities then life will become worthwhile.He was presented a memento by the Principal, Mrs. Poonam Kochitty. She thanked him for taking out time from his schedule.
The Principal, Mrs. Poonam Kochitty, gave credit to all the parents for nurturing the talent and for providing an environment to learn. She asked the parents to teach adaptability to their children. She urged them to be conscious, close to their children and most importantly to communicate with them. She concluded the ceremony by expressing her gratitude and thanking all the parents.
Today’s ceremony was like crossing another threshold for the students. For all the prize winners it was a proud moment for being publicly recognized and awarded.
