Someone correctly stated that, “EVERY PROBLEM IS A CHARACTER-BUILDING OPPORTUNITY.” It is when we struggle, that we strengthen and when challenged to the core, that we learn the depth of who we are. Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow professes that education is deficient if it fails to enrich the learners’ moral values and ethics. Books can teach us formulas and scriptures which fetch us fancy degrees. But, all of this without a human touch, loses its wholeness. Keeping in view, such noble ideologies, the school began its journey of organizing the Annual Cultural and Literary Festival that provides students with a platform to showcase their hidden talents. The event is popularly known as RAZZMATAZZ !

The school is once again, back with its sixth edition of Razzmatazz, From Darkness to Light, the Annual Cultural and Literary Festival. RAZZMATAZZ 202 is the second one on a virtual platform. Approximately, eight hundred participants, forty-nine schools, in India and overseas were a part of 32 events that the school organized. 8 October 2021, the show began with grandeur and delight. The splendid Inaugural Ceremony kickstarted the event. It commenced with the lighting of the lamp, followed by students presenting the Prayer Dance to pay reverence to the Almighty, post which, the Principal, Ms. Poonam Kochitty addressed the virtual audience.

Eminent guests graced the two-day event with their presence. These were, Mr. Sumit Agarwal, Enterpreneur and Public Relation speaker, as the Chief Guest (Day – 1),  Ms. Soorya Gayathri, a 15-year old playback singer, a YouTube sensation, as the Guest Of Honour(Day-1), Ms. Manju Singh, Indian television producer, as the Chief Guest (Day – 2), Ms. Meenakshi Uberoi, Founding Director, De Pedagogics, as the Guest Of Honour (Day-2), Ms. Paramjeet Kaur Dhillon, Microsoft Innovative Educator Trainer and Fellow, as our special guest, RJ Tushar and RJ Payal, RED FM 93.5, as Chief Guests for the Closing Ceremony. The air was filled with warmth, exhilaration and immense learning through the various competitions, each of which had captivating titles like, Shining Light, Torch Bearers, Fiery Faith, Anhad, Eyes On Edge, Eye Wood Knot No, Rhyme-In-Motion, Katha Karthiki, Light….Camera….Action etc. The whole show was steered by students and incredibly done.

The Principal, Ms. Poonam Kochitty, warmly welcomed all the participating schools and the guests. She apprised the audience with the history and purpose of RAZZMATAZZ back in 2016. She expressed that every day should be exciting and that the last week has been truly action-packed for all the Jaipurians. She spoke about the awards that the school has recently won. Her words fell like dewdrops on everyone’s ears.

The Closing Ceremony culminated in the grand celebration in the best possible way. The spontaneous and creative Jaipurians presented a beautiful rendition of the song, ‘Fireworks’ by Katy Perry. This astounding performance paved the way for the result announcement, the most awaited moment for the participants and their mentors. The Chief Guests, RJ Tushar and RJ Payal addressed the children, appreciated RAZZMATAZZ and its grandeur. They also expressed a desire to have had a chance to have studied in a similar school like Jaipuria. They suggested the students to focus on participation and not worry about winning the game. Further, RJ Tushar said that it is of paramount importance to be able to accept defeat. The Headmistress, Ms. Monica Taneja and the Event Coordinator, Ms. Sangeeta Batra, addressed the audience, congratulated them and motivated them with their valuable words. The Head Master, Mr. Pankaj Rathore proposed a Vote Of Thanks. He also invited the participating schools for RAZZMATAZZ 2022. The show came to an end, with a very special Garba dance performance by the Jaipurians. Everyone had gleaming faces, wearing bright smiles of both winning and learning through the two-day event.
