Razzmatazz – Beyond 2020 Graced by Mr Ricky Kej- Grammy Award Winneradmin
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam once said, “All birds find shelter during rain, but the Eagle avoids rain by flying above the clouds. Problems are common, but attitude makes the difference.”
Covid may have disrupted lives in all sectors, but we at Seth Anandram Jaipuria School Lucknow have made the most of these unforeseen days. Creativity and growth have been at an all time high. Hence the 5th edition of RAZZMATAZZ, was flagged off as always, on October 14 and 15, 2020. Dedicated to Dr Kalam’s vision 2020 for the nation, Razzmatazz got a resounding response from 21schools across the country. A plethora of online and offline competitions were held on day 1. The online experience was no less than the physical one. 300 students in around 30 events and nearly 60 judges! It was an exciting day for all.
The inauguration ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp of knowledge, seeking the choicest blessings from Goddess Saraswati. This was followed by ‘Ganesha Stuti’, a prayer dance performed by the students of our school. The Chief Guest for the inaugural program, Mr. Ricky Kej, a Grammy Award winning musician and composer from India, and UNESCO Ambassador for Kindness, who enlightened us on the judicious use of resources. He also urged the students to engage in sustainable practices. There is an interconnectedness of life and environment and all forms of life need to be respected.
All the Razzmatazz events this year, were named after the tiles of Dr. Kalam’s Books or from memorable instances of his life., Some of them were You are Born to Blossom, The Kalam Effect and Rasam n Rice for the Pre-Primary Section. The students in primary wing exhibited their talents in the events named, Turning Point and Reignited. The events conducted in senior category included Ignited Minds, Whispers of Jasmine, What can I Give Movement, and Wings of Fire. A plethora of judges from various creative fields came to judge the events. They were greatly impressed by the creativity and innovative ideas of even the youngest of participants. Their eloquence stole everyone’s heart.
The accompanying teachers from the visiting schools seemed overawed to see the seamless transmission of events on Zoom using online tools. Day 1 ended successfully and we await day 2 with bated breath.
