Progate Free Learning Experience Workshop
Seth Anandram Jaipuria School Lucknow is a perfect blend of modern methods of teaching coupled with technology integration. It is the only school in Lucknow that doesn’t limit itself to using technology as a means to impart subject content alone.The latest project undertaken by the school is its tie up with Japan’s biggest company Progate, a web service where everyone can learn to code.
On Monday, 12th November 2018, our first “Free Learning Experience Workshop” was conducted by Progate that allowed students to explore modern programming languages and find answers to their queries.
The resource person Ms. Ankita Mishra (India Community Associate, Progate Inc. Japan) started the session by applauding the fact that Seth Anandram Jaipuria, Lucknow is the only school in Uttar Pradesh that has a tie up with Progate.
She also congratulated Krishna Tulsyan of grade IX and Sagar Rai of grade VI for becoming “Progate Star Learners’. She was happy to announce that the boys were among the Top Rankers in India!
It was a personalized session as the Resource Person had a one to one interaction with each and every student. She discussed the importance of Coding. She apprised the students that Coding requires precision and learning to code boosts one’s attention to detail. Also, learning how to focus on the small things makes one better at any project or job. Students too shared their experiences on Progate. They shared how they were using coding in school and what their future plans were.
The resource person was so happy that she tagged the children as Progate Ninjas and enthusiastic learners. The children were delighted to receive Progate stickers. The participants of the workshop were elated when the resource Person shared that the Progate team from Japan was looking forward to visit the school in the month of February, 2019.
All thanks to the enlightening and engaging Progate Workshop, the number of members has risen from a meager thirty,as more children have enrolled themselves on its online platform.
