“Those who teach the most about humanity aren’t always human.”
11 April’22 was yet another special day. ‘Pets’ Day’ was celebrated with exuberance and insight. Students of classes VI to XII were a part of a special assembly dedicated to pets. Children shared their experiences as pet owners. They excitedly spoke their hearts out on the challenges of understanding the silent language of the pets and training them. Not only was there a hint of fun and laughter, in children, but also an intense and thoughtful exchange of opinions on how pets are our teachers. Children were steered towards reflecting upon how they treat pets or stray animals. Teachers too shared their funny and heart-touching experiences with pets and everyone could easily relate to the subject. The auditorium echoed with laughter when dog stories were being spoken about. The Headmaster, Mr. Pankaj Rathore drew everyone’s attention to the adoption of pets against the purchase of pets and that pets are our babies and must be given complete care and love. He spoke about the unconditional love that we receive from pets and how it even cures ailments.
The motive of the celebration was not only to highlight the fun in owning pets but also to sensitize children and moulding their tender hearts toward being more compassionate human beings.
