“Mother’s love is bliss, is peace, it need not be acquired, it need not be deserved. If it is there, it is like a blessing; if it is not there, it is as if, all the beauty had gone out of life.”

The Pre-Primary wing of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School celebrated Mother’s Day online with a special guest, Ms Sneha Bhatia, an Entrepreneur, a Philanthropist, a Famous blogger and a strong mother to a hypotonia warrior.

She is based in Dubai and Toronto, along with her sister started ‘Sugoholic’ Bakeshop in 2010 by hosting a small bake sale where they raised money for the education of underprivileged children in India. She also holds the Guinness World Record for the Tallest Cupcake Tower!

She shared her journey with the mother’s and teachers which indeed was very inspiring and some parenting tips on ‘How to handle a child during emotional outburst and most importantly teaching children to take turns’. Accepting the flaws in the children and working towards them rather than overthinking about them.

Ms Aarushi Masand, a trained baker and a teacher in the Pre Primary wing took over the Fireless Cooking Activity and the children made ‘Chocolate pudding’. The children were very excited throughout the activity. While making the chocolate pudding the children were taught ‘Cooking etiquette’ and tidying up the workstation thereafter. The cooking activity not only focused on just preparing a dessert but also focused on vocabulary and concepts related to colors, sense organs, numeracy, taking up responsibility, motor skills.

At the end the enthusiasm was palpable from the faces of the children as they could not resist and tasted the dessert while layering the biscuits, pudding, fruits.

Finally they seemed to have a sense of accomplishment when they presented a treat to their mothers.

The cherry on cake was five finger prayer by Ahana Sharma and ‘I love my mommy song by the little ones.
