Mother’s Day
“A Mother is she who can take the place of all others, but whose place no one else can take”
Mother’s day is a special day, for all children and mothers as it celebrates the bond of love and affection that is everlasting. Mothers are the emotional backbone of the family, who have the magic touch to heal all wounds and make all things beautiful.
The students of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow celebrated a virtual Mother’s Day on May 8, 2021. The students participated in an online Mother-Child Competition which was showcased during the live event. While toddlers like Adira Singh (Pre Nursery), Amarya Singh (Nursery) and Abhyuday (KG) adorably danced away to a love-struck spectatorship,
there were others from all grades who took part and performed various dance forms along with their mothers as their dance partners. The preparation that had gone into the performances spoke not only of the love that must’ve gone into it but the efforts undertaken as well, clearly evident with the use of gorgeous costumes and elaborate props. While Abhyuday bagged the first position in the Pre-Primary section, the girls came in a close second with a tie. In the Primary section, Vanshika Yadav, 3C stood first, Parth, grade 4 stood 2nd and Vanya Jaiswal, grade 4 stood at the 3rd position. Special appreciation in the form of consolation prizes were given to Maaz, grade 3 and little Navika Srivastava, grade 1. In the senior wing, Jhanvi Gupta, grade 7, Avni Pandey, grade 6 and Kovid Sharma, grade 7 stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. Tanmay from grade 7 walked away with appreciation and a consolation prize. The choir sang a beautiful melody displaying their emotions towards their mothers which was a mirror to all of our unsaid thoughts towards the unsung heroes, mothers. Not just the participants and their mothers, but the comperes pulled a commendable feat overnight. Comperes for the event, Khadeeja Aslam, Awarnika Singh and Diivit Batra turned the energy of the event to resemble that of a concert.
The Principal, Mrs. Poonam Kochitty, addressed the gathering and expressed her pride on witnessing the talent, will and strength of the Jaipurian family, students, parents and staff alike, to be able to turn the ongoing morosity of circumstances into jubilation with sheer joy.
To conclude with, the school wishes all mothers, around the globe, a very Happy Mother’s Day.
“A Mother hears what a child doesn’t say.”
