Inter- Class Reading Competitionadmin
Date-August 2, 2019
“Today a reader, tomorrow a leader.” This line very well suits the kids of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow. A school, where reading is not presented to children as a chore or a duty, rather it is presented as a gift. Following this, an Inter class reading competition was organized by the primary section of SAJS, Lucknow where kids got a platform to showcase their reading skills. Naming it as a competition was just to encourage children to work hard, but the actual aim of the event was to make reading a fun activity so as to bring the kids closer to books.
The competition started with the welcome of the judges, Ms. Poonam Kochitty (Principal), Mr. Pankaj Rathore(Headmaster) and Ms. Amita Shukla(HOD, Hindi). After this, all the classes gave their presentations starting from class IA.
While the results were being tabulated, respected Principal ma’am read out a book named “We Share Everything” in which Jeremiah and Amanda learn to share things in their kindergarten. Also, she told that few words like hair, grew, creatures and bidding, were mispronounced while reading the paragraph.
The results were declared in two categories. In the first category, i.e, classes 1 and 2, class 1B stood first; 2B second and class 2A got third position.
In the second category, i.e, classes 3 to 5, procured by class 3B; second by class 4A and third by 5A.
