Let’s salute the nation on this auspicious day.

Independence day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect at Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow. The ceremony started at 9:00 am on a virtual dais with students, staff and parents.

To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, our Head master Mr. Pankaj unfurled the tricolour flag and all in unison sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of our freedom.

Ms. Shilpi Kumar welcomed the gathering. The hosts for the day were Saumitra and Sakshi who brilliantly carried out their responsibility. The programme started with a prayer song sung by Preeti ma’am (Shubham kurutwankalyanam), followed by a powerful speech by Prakhar Singh.

Shaurya Wahi of grade 3 depicted the landing of Chandrayaan through his Scratch project.

Prithvij of pre primary section recited a beautiful poem ‘Mera Azad Bharat’. This was followed by short motivational speeches given by Diyansh and Ayushman of Grade 2. After these speeches Swastika through her poem ‘ Mera bhi Ghar Baar tha’ brought tears in everyone’s eyes.

The next performance for the day was the programme ‘ Face of India’ in which students of primary section dressed themselves as some of the most powerful leaders and freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh, Rani Laxmi Bai, Begam Hazrat Mahal, Jawahar Lal Nehru and Indira Gandhi.

After these soulful performances we witnessed an enchanting group dance video prepared by students of the school on the song ‘Mile sur mera Tumhara’. The group song and the instrumental music played by the students of grade 10 and 11 once again touched the hearts of the audience and evoked the feeling of patriotism.

The icing on the cake was the Taekwondo video where children displayed their talents. The video had a powerful message ‘Your spirit is the true shield’ and also an inspiring quote was there which said ‘not every girl dreams of being a princess’.

Two solo dance performances were also witnessed. Shristika presented her dance performance through a video and the grand finale was the alluring and flawless dance performance by Siddhi.

Vote of thanks was given by Pankaj Sir on behalf of Principal ma’am. He even interacted with parents of Rayaan, Amidhar , Kovid, Shreya where they expressed their feelings, love and gratitude for the nation and the school.

The programme was concluded by our Cultural head Mrs. Amita Shukla who thanked everyone for giving their valuable time and becoming a part of the grand celebration.
