Green Brings Gold
GREEN Olympiad is an annual written examination on environment initiated by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in 1999. The exam is conducted by Environment Education & Awareness Area (EEA) of TERI and attracts participation from school students across India and abroad. The theme of this year’s Olympiad was “Environment and Sustainable Development“. The Olympiad was conducted at three levels including – Level 1: Class 4 –5, Level 2 :Class 6 -8 and Level 3: Class 9 – 10.
Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow believes in encouraging students to widen their academic horizons beyond school books and prepare to excel in today’s competitive environment. Our students also participated in TERI Green Olympiad 2018 conducted on 30th October 2018. Thirty eight students from the school appeared for the exam out of which five of our students excelled & attained Certificate of Distinction. Mili Verma (Class IX)- 86%, Khushi Yadav (Class IX)-84% , Sandhya Yadav ( Class IX) – 82% , Ankush Verma ( Class IX) – 78% & Rishi Raj Pratap Singh ( Class IX) -72%. They have been awarded Certificate of Distinction and Mili Verma has won the Gold medal and has been declared as the State Winner from Uttar Pradesh ,India.
