Fun With Doughadmin
While children are busy rolling, poking and squishing dough, they are building strength in the little muscles in their fingers and hands. These same muscles are used for later skills such as cutting and holding a pencil with a pincer grasp.
The Tiny Tots of Pre – Nursery have been enjoying the “DOUGH” session with complete patience and curiosity.
The activity enhances Fine Motor Skills, Improves Pre-writing skills, Creativity and Ipagination,Develops hand – eye coordination. This also improves the social skills in children.Even though the sessions are happening over zoom ,they are able to socially connect well with their family members and also share their artwork with their friends virtually .They make short conversations with the teachers and parents around them.
The theme for the month of April and May is “ME AND MYSELF”.
The children were introduced to the use of Dough .Due to the crisis and non availability of clay , we replaced it with home made “DOUGH”. The parents were really excited to explore this method of teaching and readily participated along with their children .We see a lot of them reliving their Childhood
The class was engaged in making the Hungry and a “SELF PORTRAIT” during the Zoom sessions in the month of April .
