ENGLISH ELOCUTION Middle School

Robert Frost has rightly said “ Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.”

Poetry is a rhythmical creation of beauty in words. It helps in self-expression, creativity of words and emotions and conveys a message to the audience.

An elocution competition at school level gives students a good opportunity to combat their biggest fear , stage fear.To expose the students to oratory skills and to develop their expressions aVirtual English Elocution Competition was organised for the Junior category i.e. for classes VI to VIII on June 30, 2021 .Most of the exuberant students logged in to view the solo contest

The anchors of the day Toshit Rai and Vaani Shah kick started the event on time. All the participants recited their poems eloquently. They were judged on  expression and clarity,  pronunciation and diction,  choice of the poem and overall presentation.

The efforts by the anchors and the participants was much appreciated by the Principal Mrs. Poonam Kochitty. She  advised the students to be spontaneous, confident, and flawless during their performance. She even noted the and corrected the words mispronounced by the speakers during the session. The other jury members of the event were Mrs. Monika Taneja, H.O.D. English Mrs. Shilpi Kumar and Mrs. Anjana Tiwari.The jury along with the Headmaster Mr. Pankaj Rathore appreciated and encouraged the participants and advised all of them to pay heed to the advice given by  the Principal.
