Cyclothon for Mothersadmin
Women’s Cyclothon organised by Seth Anandram Jaipuria on Saturday, 4th May 2019 was an event that drew a heartening response from mothers. Their enthusiasm and excitement to participate was visible as they assembled in the school complex at 6.30 in the morning. As the registrations began, the mothers seem to give the message that ‘if you are young at heart, age is just a number’. Ms. Shipra Singh an internationally recognised cyclist, a marathoner and fitness enthusiast was the Chief Guest for this event. Her stupendous record in cycling is all the more commendable since she took up this sport just 2 years back. Ms. Shipra Singh has completed a series of BRM 200k, 300k, 400k and 600k and earned the title of Super Randonneur. She helped boost the confidence of the 21 super excited participants who covered a distance of 5km that started from the school premises. Egged on by supportive fathers and cheering children, the cyclothon was completed by all the participants. But it was our delighted mothers Mrs Richa Mishra, Mrs Pooja Bhaskar and Mrs Pooja Deshwal who eventually bagged the 1 st ,2 nd and 3 rd positions respectively. Joy and a sense of achievement on the faces of participants made this event worthwhile. And we hope that it will encourage mothers to take care of themselves and engage in regular fitness activities. Cyclothon was superbly conducted by Mr Yogesh and Amulya, the sports teachers and there are more such events lined up to engage the parents.
