“Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think”
On 14th of February, the students of Class IB put up a captivating class presentation.
The event started with a welcome note by Ayush Paria and Headmistress Ms. Monika Taneja ma’am followed by Lamp Lighting Ceremony announced by Maaz Khusrau. For seeking the choicest blessings, the lamp was kindled by the Principal and Headmistress.
Next, Riddhima requested the parents to put their mobiles on silent mode and encourage the students by watching attentively.
The children then presented an enjoyable prayer “We are the clay” followed by a Welcome – “Hello song”
This was followed by Koli dance where students impressed everyone with their moves.
Next came Arav Chandra who announced the English Elocution “Let no one steal your dreams” by Paul Cookson giving the message that all our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.
“Music can change the world because it can change people. The students then sang a beautiful song “Chand tare tod lau”.
“Vision is a picture of the future that produces passion”. Maaz spoke about the vision of the school.
One of the best featuresof our school is the assemblies which are held daily. The significance of these assemblies and the values learnt from these were told by Rakshit Das and he also spoke about hobby clubs followed by a video on school assembly and hobby clubs.
Some of the students came and showcased their talents. Divyansh performed a dance and played the keyboard. Ayush also played the keyboard.
Fitness is about more than just exercise. It brings about positive change in every aspect of life. Thereafter students came and presented a drill using hula hoops.
This was followed by an impactful skit “A boy who hated books” where the children gave the message that reading books can be fun. The narrator of the skit was Aarjav Pandey
Next the whole Class recited a Hindi poem “Mera pariwar”. The narrator of the program was Avika.
This was followed by Nukkad Natak, an outstanding performance given by the students and narration by Saj Saluja.
In a heart touching pre recorded video the students expressed their love for their mom and dad.
A glimpse into the SEL program was given by the class teacher Kratika Saxena and the special educator Tarandeep.
The Grand finale was a foot tapping dance performance on the song I like to move it.
Anaya came and thanked Principal ma’am for the continuous support and guidance. The event came to an end with the ‘Vote of Thanks by Rajiv.
In the end, Principal Mrs. Poonam Kochitty addressed the parents giving them valuable parenting tips on communication, spending time with the kids, being a role model and focusing on values, nurturing life skills, developing reading habits and being punctual.
When the event got over the parents were asked to give the feedback which was heart-warming.
