“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the World”
On 13 th of February, the students of Class I A put up a captivating class presentation. The event started with a welcome note by Mihika, Shashwat and Headmistress Ms. Monika Taneja followed by the lighting of the Lamp . For seeking God’s choicest blessings, the lamp was kindled by the Principal and Headmistress.
Next, Ayati requested the parents to switch off their mobiles and encourage the students with their attention and applause. Next the students came one by one and spoke about the eminent personalities of our school. Shreyash spoke about Principal ma’am , Aashi about the Headmistress and Raina about Headmaster Mr Pankaj Rathore.
The children then presented a soulful prayer “Give me oil in my lamp” followed by an English Elocution “Try Try Again” which was about trying always and never giving up hope.
This was followed by Nukkad Natak where Aadvik, Navya, Divyansh, Shambhavi and Aashi came up with slogans “Vision is the art of seeing the invisible” Gaurang spoke about the vision of the school. One of the USPs of this school is the assemblies which are held daily. The significance of these assemblies and the values learnt from these were told by Gaurang. Om spoke about the awards received by the School , last but not the least Spandan spoke about hobby clubs followed by a video.
“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything. Hetvi played the keyboard with full zeal, next were Vanshika and Shanvi who stole the heart of their parents by their dancing moves on Meethi Raas. A short skit on Encyclopedia was presented by Mihika, Gaurang, Vaishnav and Raina to encourage reading habits.
Next the whole Class recited a Hindi poem” चूहे की शादी “. The narrator was Divyansh. This was followed by a powerful skit “I want to be a smart phone” where the children gave the message that the parents should not make comparisons and mustspend time with their children instead. The narrators were Mihika, Aryan and Hetvi.
Now was the time for the young singers to take the stage by storm. Thus Vanshika , Mihika, Kunjal, Shanvi, Pankhuri, Aashi sang a beautiful melody” तेरी गोद में सर हे मैया’ ,Vanshika also narrated a small doha “ऊपर जिसका अंत नहीं उसे आसमां कहते हे,नीचे जिसका अंत नहीं उसे माँ कहते है” This was followed by Taekwondo, an outstanding performance ,where students confidently showed their skills in martial arts.
Finally the last event of the day was presented. It was a mesmerizing Bihu dance performance. The event came to an end with the ‘Vote of Thanks’by Raina. In the end, Principal Mrs. Poonam Kochitty addressed the parents giving them valuable parenting tips on communication, spending time with the kids, being a role model and focusing on values, nurturing life skills, developing reading habits and being punctual. When the event got over the parents were asked to give the feedback which was heart- warming.
