Every year Children’s Day is celebrated across India in the memory of our first Prime Minister Pdt. Jawahar Lal Nehru whose immense love for children is known world-wide. To make our children feel special this year the teachers of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School celebrated Children’s Day on Nov. 14, 2018 in the school campus with full zeal and zest.
The formal programme started in the morning with a calming mindfulness session. It was followed bya colourful program which included poems by Ms.Shilpi Kumar and Ms. Surya. There was a medley of songs anda group dance by the teachers and some solo dance performances by Ms.Shikha, Ms.Surbhi and Ms.Seema. Apart from this Mr.Yogesh, Mr.Anubhav and Ms.Shikha sang solo songs like A million dreams’ and regional Indian songs. The children were delighted to see their teachers performing so enthusiastically. Besides, there was a Fun Quiz taken by the Headmistress Ms. Monika Taneja which the children enjoyed and laughed their hearts out. To conclude the programme our Principal Ms.Poonam Kochitty greeted the students on the occasion and reminded them to be grateful and give a thought to the countless children who are homeless underprivileged, deprived, exploited or living in war torn areas.
