Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow celebrated Children’s Day on 15th and 16th November 2021. The program encompassed music and dance performances by teachers. The main intention behind the celebration was to embrace the child in us and to reflect on the idea of childhood in today’s fast-paced world.
The program was kickstarted by a small play and a speech titled, “Nehru’s message to the children of today”. The students were made to evaluate on how education, language and cultures have changed drastically in the last few decades. The children realized the importance and the need to always stay connected to their roots despite the technological and social advancements.
The speech was followed by music and a dance performance by the teachers of the school. The performances (music, dance, beatboxing) energized the students and conveyed the message of the importance of spontaneity in the life of a child.
The principal’s message on Children’s day gave students room for a lot of introspection. The students learned the importance of keeping their innocence intact and not getting impacted by the vices inherent in this society. Moreover, the students reflected on the idea of privilege and their social responsibilities as privileged citizens of our country. The principal encouraged the students to
document their journey and growth as an individual. The headmaster’s message encouraged children to always have the courage to question the social evils.
