Basant Panchami – Honoring the Goddess of Knowledge, Wisdom, Music, Arts and All Learning
To celebrate the glorious heritage, culture, and tradition of India, festivals are the best way. Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow celebrated Basant Panchmi with great fervor and enthusiasm. Dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, Basant Panchami marks the arrival of the Spring season in India. Maa Saraswati is the Goddess of knowledge, music, learning and arts. It is believed that without her blessings, the world would be shrouded in ignorance, as she represents enlightenment.
To commemorate this auspicious day, the school conducted a special assembly. The celebration commenced with rendition of Saraswati Vandana by Amelia (Grade 4th). Thereafter, children were apprised regarding the significance of Maa Saraswati and her importance in student’s life by Headmaster Mr Pankaj Rathore.
The program witnessed mesmerizing chanting of shlokas by Divisha (Grade KG), Saumya and Krishna Pandey (Grade 8th). Through their dance performances Shivika(Grade 4), BhavyaSingh (Grade 4) and Nirvi Khanna(Grade 5) created an aura of festivity everywhere.
The Principal Ms Poonam Kochitty motivated the children to attain the blessings from Maa Saraswati and to imbibe the virtues to lead an exemplary life. The assembly was followed by pooja to seek the blessings of the deity.
