Grand 6th Founders Day Program of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School Lucknow Concludes

Seth Anand Ram Jaipuria, Sushant Golf City, Lucknow brought together a flamboyant , evocative online extravaganza in the form of the 6th Annual Day Function. The programme started on a propitious note with the traditional lighting of the lamp and the  Ganesh Vandana- evoking the blessings of Divine Providence. The virtual audience was addressed by the Chairman, Mr. Shishir Jaipuria. He commended the efforts of the teachers’ endeavors in continuing the learning process, building a digital atmosphere, with new technological tools. He underlined the message ‘ DO Not rest on past laurels, but continue to move forward’ ,  The theme of the event- ‘ From Darkness to Light’ celebrates the undefeated human spirit- the proof of the same was shared by the Principal, Ms. Poonam Kochitty in the annual report ,  a record of the achievements of SAJ, throughout the session 2020-2021, of the altruistic efforts of a student Atharv Kubele, showing the way for many others , becoming a Wake let School,  a member of the Global Schools Forum for SDG initiatives,  the only Microsoft Showcase School in the city for the last 3 years, the new construction of an RJ Studio , another new initiative, the newest being the  Jaipuria Schools’ endeavour under STARR,  to provide IT training to  10,000 teachers  in U.P. ,were some achievements mentioned.  

The Chief Guest Lt. Colonel Shekhar, a soldier, an educationist – applauded the efforts of students and saluted the teachers for upgrading their technical skills in the Covid exigencies, as well as handling the more sensitive issues  that arise in these extraordinary circumstances. The Guest of Honour, Ms. Amanda Abram , Program Manager, Global Schools, exhorted the students to be life-long learners , be the agents of change in ensuring a sustainable world in the future. 

All items, although of varied hues, had a common thread- fighting the darkness of evil to progress towards peace and harmony. The ardent invocation to Lord Shankara   the powerful reprimand of ‘ Krishna ki Chetavni’  – an overture for peace to the war mongering Kauravas, by the great poet Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, by Shouryaveer of class 9.The atmosphere was lightened and had everyone smiling and swaying to the joyful beats of an English number- ‘ Don’t worry be Happy’ and  the  peppy ‘Fireworks’ song by the School Choir, which ignited every spirit .

Technowiz students in Future Ready, had everyone enthralled with their 21st century skills in AI, IT, TOONTASTIC, ADOBE, SCRATCH, Coding, using creativity and collaboration, winning accolades countrywide, doing internships in careers like Graphic Designing, Content Writing and more. 

Also eye-catching was ‘ Sustainable Planet- Let’s all Care’- a  synchronized   PT drill  by the senior section advocating SDGS,  stepping in time to  Michael Jackson’s ‘They Don’t Care’.

The highlight of the evening was ‘ Dashanan’ , a dance drama,based on the epic- ‘ Ramayana’ depicting the downfall of Ravana- with his ten-heads he was considered the most learned person but was flawed  by vices which led to his  death at the hands of the benevolent and wise Lord Rama,  an eternal lesson for all .

The Vote of Thanks was  proposed by the Headmistress Mrs. Monica Taneja and  the Headmaster Mr. Pankaj Rathore . 

The program me ended with the Grand Finale- celebrating the beauteous unity in diversity , the need of the hour in these turbulent times.
