“Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world.”
In a world of selfishness and hatred, there exists a minority of those imparting hope for the greater good. On 29th July, 2019, 10 students of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School took to the streets to show the world that there still exists sheer goodness. Assisted by 3 teachers and the support staff of the school, the students had put up a stall serving “Free water and sherbet” to the passersby at the Phoolbagh Chauraha. Not surprisingly rather interestingly, around 300-400 people were served by the students in a span of 60 minutes. The happiness of the students as well as of those who were enjoying the “Kacchi Lassi” could be inferred from the subtle smiles that spread across their faces. Humanity came to the forefront when the workers at Bata and the other shops walked into the stall to help with the serving and other tasks.
It indeed, was an act of kindness which was evidently not imposed but taken up with enthusiasm.
“Service is not a heritage.”
