A team of five students from Class VIII escorted by two teachers –Mrs Talat Jafri and Mamta Khanna, attended the Ed Tech Summit 2020, organized by team Mahatattva in collaboration with NIIT University, Neemrana. It was a two day workshop from 6 to 7 February, 2020.

On 6 February, 2020, the students attended workshop on ‘Design thinking for social change’ by award winning facilitator, Ms Deepti Sawhney. The team of five students-Unnati Mishra, Aakarsh Omar, Abhishek Agarwal, Navya Arora, and Kushagra Jain developed a prototype titled ‘Unreal World’. Teachers attended the workshop conducted by Vijay Mandke on ‘Best teaching learning Practices using Technology’ .The day ended with music and dance amidst the crackling bonfire by NIIT University Student Council.

The second day i.e. 7 February kick -started with a trekking programme in the Arravalli hills, in the lap of mother nature, after which the students received constructive feedback on the projects on display from the Judges. The teachers attended a workshop on ‘Google Suite for Education’ by Sangeeta Gulati, a Google certified innovator and trainer, where the teachers explored the power of Google Classroom in easily creating and assessing the worksheets and home-assignments of the students.

The award ceremony took place in the evening for the best prototype building on ‘Design thinking for Social Change’ and the day ended with a cultural evening by the participating delegates.

On 8th morning, after tree plantation in the Aravalli Hills, the teams justify the NIIT –University with loads of learning and memorable experiences.
