Report on Virtual Corporate Mentorship Session conducted on 30 December 2021

A Corporate Mentorship Session was conducted at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad with Mr Arijit Das, COO and Chief of Business for Seoczar IT Services Pvt Ltd on 30 December 2021 from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm. The aim of the session was to provide students at Jaipuria, a holistic experience of management education. The session was highly interactive. A thorough conversation was there between students and the corporate mentor. The focus of the discussion was digital marketing as a career.

Mr. Arijit Das is an ardent Communication Professional with his Master’s in Integrated Communication & Strategic Marketing. He has been the growth driver for brands like Kingfisher Airlines, Attero Group,, IKLO India, EO Energy and Seoczar IT Services to name a few. He is driven by sheer passion to establish first of its kind enhancement in audience engagement which he is doing as a research with a group of researchers from University of Oxford.

The session was organized by Dr Devi Archana Mohanty, Assistant Professor, Jaipuria Institute of  Management, Ghaziabad for her mentor group. The mentees present were Ritika Maheshwari Samipa Dutta, Sayam Sharma, Saurabh Sirohi, Shagun Choubey, Shaifali Sharma, Shalu Gautam, Shivam Sirohi, Shubham Tyagi, Siddhant Chaudhary, Sonia Rani, Shristi Rayal.

A warm welcome was given by the students while Mr Siddhant Choudhry gave the introduction of the guest. After a brief introduction by each of the mentees, a useful conversation went for around one hour on various topics such as integrated communication, digital marketing, risk factors in start up and so on. The advice received was clear, to the point and very constructive. The speaker could rightly address various queries and concerns of students with his impeccable expertise. The speaker threw light on various aspects of digital marketing such as Search engine optimization (SEO), Search engine marketing (SEM) and so on.

The session proved to be very effective as the discussion between the students and the corporate mentor continued for long highlighting various topics on marketing, finance. The speaker addressed the students’ queries related to their specializations, career prospects. The session ended with students’ feedback on the session. A formal vote of thanks was given by Mr Siddhant. Everyone in the meeting showed interest towards a more engaging discussion with the speaker in a face-to-face mentoring session.
