Women Empowerment

Women Empowerment

“To be liberated, women must feel free to be herself, not in rivalry to man but in the context of her own capacity and personality.” – Indira Gandhi. The endeavor of alleviating the status of women in the political, social and domestic environment is not a need but a necessity. Women comprise half the population of the world. If today we fail to confront this situation we deteriorate our society as a whole. Women Empowerment is not about declining the esteem of men in the society but is about bringing the consensus of equality between men and women.

How long will the strife continue about the rights of women? Why are the fundamentals of life and opportunities alienable and distinctive for them? The tear, blood and sweat shed by them in respect of their work is no different from men but, still the percentage of women at par with men is relatively less. We need to empower, educate and inspire women today for the pragmatic progress of tomorrow. Our global leaders in recognition of this have excogitate to empower women and spread gender equality through the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) as well.

Ignoring such a large population of society like women has its own vulnerability towards a devastating end. For a long time the oppression on women has prevailed but striving hard for rights does not stop. Empowering women is not about making her seen as a miracle, but at even the smallest step of life considering her competent. Not defining her in a sphere of predefined laws that suit you. But letting her follow her ultimate pursuit of happiness and dreams of procuring anything she wants.
