Let’s give green a chance…40 views Rahul Singh
Being green is an unshakable commitment to a sustainable lifestyle and it all begins with us. One cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around us. What we do makes a difference, and we only have to decide what kind of difference we want to make.
Imagine if trees gave free Wi-Fi, we would be planting them like crazy. Isn’t it?? Planting trees teaches us to gather strength from our deepest roots. It’s our duty to save environment’s beauty. The key to greener planet is in our hands. One who plants a tree, plants a hope.
With the aim of spreading awareness about environment, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School has always taken the lead and has been a source of inspiration. To take the objective of plantation forward, the school has successfully registered itself to the ENO Tree Database
Environment Online – ENO is a global virtual school and network for sustainable development. Since its launch in 2000, over 10,000 schools in 157 countries have joined ENO and made concrete deeds for environment like tree plantation.
The school’s Principal-cum-Director, Ms. Manju Rana along with the students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. Tree Plantation Program was conducted at the green belt near the school premises. Teachers and students joined hands in large number to make this event a great success.
Taking initiative is the commencement of being a leader. It’s doing the right thing without being told. Seth Anandram Jaipuria School takes initiatives with different communities to make the environment clean and green.
When we plant trees, we plant the seeds of peace and seeds. The students of Pre-Primary, Primary and Middle classes along with the gardeners and teachers participated in the plantation drive with great enthusiasm. Many different trees were planted and then registered on an online app – ENVIRATE.
Plants elemental to the ecology of the region are chosen for the purpose. Registering trees, taking pictures and rating the environment online on a mobile phone was a great fun. This drive is, thus, a perfect example of how virtual connection can work in tandem towards a cleaner, greener globe. May we and generations to come, bask in their glorious beauty.
Not only this, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School has also participated in ENO – Climate Cycling organized by Climate Circle Association based in Finland. Climate Cycling – A first time cycling event in Helsinki which was held on 11th September, 2019. It’s the simplest approach to remove carbon dioxide. Principal-cum-Director, Ms. Manju Rana initiated the event by giving a green signal to all the participants.
Students in large number enthusiastically participated in the event and learnt how much carbon dioxide a small cycling event helps to remove from the atmosphere. The Jaipurians today are always ready to reduce a little amount of carbon dioxide.
Let’s all enjoy a healthy and a better life. Let’s win the
battle against climate change!!!
