CUP TO COMPOST
WE prompted this lesser taken issue and initiated “CUP TO COMPOST”. This project is taken as a small step towards the much larger problem of waste management. Tea Bags are widely been used in most of MNCs and corporate house offices to serve beverages. These are then dumped into landfill and dumpsters which add to land pollution. The main objective of our project is to reuse this seemingly insignificant component of our daily waste to create manure which can be used for better growth of plants.
Through our project we have taken the initiative to regularly collect tea bags from our school as well as few other organization including banks, schools etc. and compost them in the pit dug at the backyard of our school. The manure is then used in our school nursery and many neighboring places.
