CBSE CLASS 12 TERM 2 ENGLISH PAPER ANALYSIS 2022: STUDENTS’ REVIEW

“Today’s English paper for the term 2 examinations was easy and not at all lengthy, me and my friends were able to complete the exam on time. There was no question which was outside the syllabus,” said Chirag Bansal, a Class 12 student at Fair Child Public School, Delhi.

“The literature section was also easy and direct, able to write the paper properly and hope I will secure full marks,” he further added.

SECTION-WISE ANALYSIS AS PER EXPERTS AND STUDENTS

“The overall paper was easy and direct. As compared to Term-1, this time children had the liberty to express their thoughts and interpretations, which will be evident in the variety of answers written by students in the Writing and Literature sections. The Reading Section consisted of very direct questions from the text. We expect short and crisp answers in this section,” said Gunjita Goel, a student.

“If i talk about the exam section-wise, then. Section A, Unseen passage-1 was case-based, Unseen passage 2 was fact-based, Section B’s writing was easy and direct, Section C Literature consists of short and long answers, Overall, the paper was easy but a little bit lengthy for me,” said Muskaan Garg, a student at St. Angels Sr. Sec. School.

“The English paper was balanced and as per the students’ expectations. The short-answer questions in the Literature section were direct but required a thorough understanding of the texts. Most students should have been able to tackle the long-answer questions, except perhaps the one on Aunt Jennifer’s Tigers which required some sort of higher-order thinking, “said Sreemoyee Banerjee, HOD (English)/Teaching Faculty (English – Senior Years), Shiv Nadar School, Gurgaon.
