Jaipuria School of Business and People and Management jointly organized HR Round Table on August 2, 2017 at Jaipuria School of Business. The event had eminent Corporate Leaders and HR professionals debate four contemporary challenges facing HR Managers. The session started with the lightening of lamp and welcome address by Dr S K Mahapatra, Director, Jaipuria School of Business. Ms Kim Franzen, Cofounder, Change Express initiated the discussions with a collective exercise for developing a HR Vision for India in 2022. She wrapped up her presentation brining the case study of Netherlands to demonstrate how a national vision could be implemented well. The second session of Ms Kim on change management, aptly titled as “The Change Express”, was an eye opener for all participants.

This was followed by the round table discussions on four themes – 1. HR Technology, 2. Employee Engagement, 3. Health & Wellness and, 4. Executive Education. Mr. Sunil Srivastava, CEO, Getvisitapps.com, Ms Sunanda Rao, HR Consultant, Mr Vijay Sethi Head-HR, Tata Housing, NCR and Mr Debiprasad Das, Cofounder Talocity Infosolutions and veteran CHRO moderated the Roundtable talks on one theme respectively. 30 HR Leaders, six to eight for each table included very senior HR Leaders from across all sectors of Business spanning Public Sector and Private Sector corporates and industry associations for training and development. Dr SP Verma former Executive Director of Indian Society of Training and Development, Mr Bhupendra Kaushal, Vice President & Head HR of leading Textile Company Ginni Filaments, Mr Uttam Lal, AGM-HR, NTPC, Mr Amit Pandey, Director, ATS, Mr Jayant Kumar, General Manager-HR, Holistik.com, Ms Anju Sabarwal, CEO, People Bridges, Ms Rashi Jaiswal Sr Manager – HR of Steag Energy and many others joined the round table discussions.

The students of Jaipuria School of Business took part enthusiastically in organising the entire event, looking after the eminent corporate guests as well as during the deliberations especially in the sessions for developing a HR Vision for India and in the Q&A for each of the four themes of the Round Table. The session had wonderful and insightful learning experience. Dr SK Mahapatra Director and Dr Timira Shukla, Dean-Academics felicitated the Moderators, Ms Kim Franzen and the CEO of People & Management Ms Linda Brady Hawke for their excellent contribution to the success of the event. In his concluding remarks, Director Dr Mahapatra made a brief presentation about the Jaipuria School of Business, and its offerings for the Corporates and called upon the delegates and panelists to partner the B-School in a win-win relationship.
