Dussehra, the victory of good over evil, was celebrated with a lot of zeal and fervour. The program began with a prayer and small introduction to Dussehra. This was followed by the “Ramleela” performed by the students of class 1 and 2. Keeping the festive spirit alive, the students of kindergarten recited a poem “Ektha raja Ram Awadh mein”. A Garba dance performance added to the festive mood. The Head mistress addressed the gathering and told students the real reason why the festival is celebrated. She advised them to overcome one negative quality , since the ten heads of Ravana signify ten negative traits in humans.
Later to mark Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana and to reinforce the message that good always triumphs over evil, the effigy of Ravana was burnt amidst cheers and a resounding applause Both the r Head master and Head mistress blessed the students and participants, at the same time inspiring them to follow the path of truth.
