Having faith in the spirit of the above quote, Seth Anandram Jaipuria school believes in creating opportunities for the students , rather than waiting for them to knock our door.We do not teach the students to fly, rather just give them wings, trust their abilities to explore and set them free to soar high in the sky of achievements. One such grand avenue for the students is our Annual event ‘Compufest – The Techno-Cultural Fest’, which saw its commemoration on October 30 and 31, 2018 this year. Celebrated on a humongous scale, the event witnessed zealous participation of about 40+ schools and 1500+ students from Delhi NCR- all gathered under one roof to savor the unparalleled quest of unleashing the innate potentials.

The event was graced by the presence of the our Principal-cum Director – Ms. Manju Rana, Vice Principal Ms. Sarojini Sinha , Headmistress- Ms. Indu Kohli, the Chief guests, Mr. Pradeep Narayanan-Managing Director, Admizzionz Campuz, South Delhi and Dr. Vinnie Jauhari-Director Education Advocacy at Microsoft, Gurgaon and other dignitaries.The opening ceremony on October 30 began on an auspicious note with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest. The euphonious chanting of the ‘Sanskrit shlokas’ which accompanied the lamp-lighting,  reverberated in the air of the auditorium and added to the piousness of the thought behind this grand fiesta. The welcome song and a classical dance performance – ‘Nityanjali’ by the students set the right beat and rhythm for the advent of this event.

The chief guests in their address underscored the importance of integrating technology with the teaching methodologies adopted in the schools to give an edge to the teaching learning process. They lauded the efforts of our school in giving a grand platform to the students to unveil the best of their ingenuity. Our Principal-cum Director Ms. Manju Rana too, in her speech talked about the way technology has made its way in our lives and how it has affected the way we think. She harped upon the fact that events like ‘Compufest’ help the children in building great associations and companionships, in gaining life time experiences, broadening the domains of knowledge and learning the management skills. ‘Creativity is contagious,” she said and uses the modes like inter-school competitions to make its sway. With these encouraging words boosting the spirits of the participants, the event commenced with great fervor.

Around 23 events on the first day and 14 events on the second day, pertaining to different arenas and catering to age group 4-17, ran in different venues atthe same time. Be it the Robo Garden , Flick a movie, Tech Ploy , related to computers, Design your Spoon, Catch the Fish  from  the club of Robotics, Soap Box , Fab Poesy Jam on Ham from English , Yoga Maths, Jungle Walk from Maths, Guess what’s cooking, Fly Me High from Science, Biz Metier from Commerce, Mind Boggler from French, Zugenbrucher from German ‘Chetna’- Street play from Hindi , Jigglerfrom Music,every event saw the complete engrossment of the students and sent the ripples of gusto across the school. The beautiful graffiti made by the students in the event ‘Concord’transformed the school ground (venue) into an exquisite art gallery – a feast for the eyes. The Quiz – Eureka conducted by the renowned Quiz master-Mr. Ajay Poonia was another interesting session which hooked the attention of the students.

The fest culminated with the valedictory ceremony on the second dayie October 31, 2018, wherein, the Chief Guests accompanied by Principal cum Director, Ms. Manju Rana felicitated the achievers. In the final tally, the overall Running Trophy was bagged by DLF Public School, Sahibabad.

The vote of thanks was proposed by the Vice Principal Ms. Sarojini Sinha. She expressed her gratitude to the esteemed guests and the participants from various schools for being a part of the mega event. She lauded the efforts of the Cyber Crew and thanked the Chairman Shri Shishir Jaipuria, Principal cum Director Ms. Manju Rana and the Head Mistress Ms. Indu Kohli for their unflinching support. Last but not the least she commended the untiring efforts of the event coordinators, inmaking the event a grand success.

The event proved to be triumphant and would be engraved in golden letters in the archives of our venerated organization.
